Yesterday, Sharmila Damarapati, our CPA and I attended the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce 2019 Annual Open Meeting. The Annual Open Meeting was filled with great conversations, moving presentations and a lot of positive and bright planning for 2020. It is always a pleasure to get together with other small businesses in the area and discuss the future.

MCC President Jessica Walker kick off the night by letting us know MCC will be celebrating its 100th year in 2020! This means MCC has a lot of exciting plans in store for 2020. We also heard from State Senator Brian Benjamin, Assembly member Inez Dickens, and New York City Council members Benjamin Kallos and Carlina Rivera. It was great to hear from leaders of NYC about their dedication to continue to support small business in the area.

The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce is a community of businesses — including startups, long-time neighborhood stores, mid-market firms and large companies — that help one another succeed. By becoming a member of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, you join a community of business and people who want to help you succeed – from events to small business mentoring, their very reasonably priced membership is 100% worth it.
