Indira Jeffrey – iGlobal Business Consulting, EKATAR and Global Chamber® Guanajuato. Indira Jeffrey’s career and academic studies have spanned the US, Mexico, Latin America and Europe. A Banking and Finance Professional and passionate Entrepreneur, she has launched two successful start-ups (a third in the concept phase), focused on Economic Development serving non-profits, start-ups, SBO’s, and government entities. Academically, she holds a Global MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management & Tecnologico de Monterrey, Bachelor’s Degree in International Business (University of Guanajuato), Certificate in Business Affairs (Group Sup in France), and a Small Business Leadership Certificate (Arizona State University).

During a solid 16 year career in banking and finance with Fortune 500 companies (Charles Schwab, JP Morgan Chase, and HSBC), she held several roles ensuring compliance with department policies, procedures, objectives and strategies, as well as adherence to applicable State Federal and US Regulations including OFAC, FDIC and the Bank Secrecy Act.

Indira’s two start-ups in Economic Development, serve corporate, non-profit, start-up, SBO’s and entrepreneurial clients across a spectrum of industries such as Education, Food & Beverage, and Aerospace. Currently, as Founder of iGlobal Business Consulting, LLC, and Partner with EKATAR, USA, LLC she manages marketing campaigns and social media, develops promotional collateral, and monitors, tracks and supervises website activity. The second start-up, launched before her banking career, was Crafted Products Mexicanos SA, where she helped 200 women entrepreneurs, SBO’s and startups in management, accounting, business incorporation, budget, forecasting, and marketing.

In August 2017 Indira Jeffrey participated in the Arizona – Mexico mission trade where the mission’s goal was to create bridges not wall between the state of Arizona and Mexico. The group of 70 people 35 Arizona government representatives and 35 Business owners met with Mexico City and the state of Guanajuato key representatives like the Mayor, Secretary of International Relations among others. On April 2018 Indira Jeffrey organized the first binational International Trade Masters Series event in Mesa, AZ. The goal of this event was to present to the public the different areas of the international trade, and to promote the commerce relations between Mexico and USA.

Indira is an active member of the Global Chamber, Phoenix Minority Business Development Agency, Thunderbird Alumni Association, and Toastmasters. Indira’s passion is to make the world a better place through economic development, sustainability and human success.
Marcos Garay – Executive Vice-President, Director of Multicultural Banking at National Bank of Arizona. Marcos is an accomplished senior executive with extensive international experience and operating success spanning three continents in more than a dozen countries. He has held the following senior management positions previously:

-Executive Director, Arizona-Mexico Commission

-Nafinsa Securities, New York, Registered Principal

– BBVA Bancomer, Mexico City, Managing Director/International

Marcos received a degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the Thunderbird Global School of Management. His passions are uninterrupted all-night reading, classical music and all theatre, including comedic relief, i.e. politics. Community Involvement includes:

Honorable Jorge Mendoza Yescas – Consulate of Mexico in Phoenix.
Consul General Mendoza is new to Phoenix but not new to cross-border trade. He will be speaking as a representative of the Mexican government. Consul General Mendoza is a member of the Mexican Foreign Service. On March 5, 2019 he was appointed by the President of Mexico as Consul General of Mexico in Phoenix, Arizona.

Prior to his current posting, Consul Mendoza served as Consul of legal affairs and documentation at the Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver, British Columbia, Vice-Consul in Administration at the Consulate of Mexico in Presidio, Texas, Consular Officer to the protection department at the Consulate of Mexico in Tucson.

He has contributed to several printed and digital media sources in Mexico and the United States in matters of migration, binational affairs and US politics. Consul General Mendoza earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Sul Ross State University in Texas and a Law degree from the Universidad de Sonora.

 

David Farca – President, International Business Group. Born and raised in Mexico City, David started his first business in the retail industry, selling accessories and gifts during his high school years.  David graduated from UI (Universidad Iberoamericana) with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, which created the opportunity for his second venture in the medical field distributing surgical lasers. David’s opinion in designing and specifying digital imaging departments became very well respected throughout Mexico becoming a business column writer for “Diagnostic Imaging America Latina” a Miller Freeman Publication and a Board Member of the Mexican Society and the Mexican Federation of Radiology (SMRI and FMRI).

Moderator: Doug Bruhnke – Founder/CEO of Global Chamber®. Doug is a two-time expat with Dupont in Tokyo and Singapore, and he has worked in 60 countries across nearly all market segments. He is a regional advisor for U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and a member of international groups including the Arizona District Export Council. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Utah and an EMBA from Michigan State University. Doug is dedicated to helping members of Global Chamber® grow in 525 metros, everywhere!
